The Spine Program at South Miami Hospital has achieved The Joint Commission’s Advanced Certification for Spine Surgery.
The Joint Commission has recognized Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute’s Spine Program at South Miami Hospital for its commitment to upholding the highest standards of healthcare quality and safety for patients undergoing advanced spine surgery. This certification marks the second out of only three in the state of Florida for Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care, since Marcus Neuroscience Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, also has achieved this certification.

The certification, championed by hospital and Institute leaders and staff to ensure clinical excellence and optimal patient experience and outcomes, is part of The Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Certification program and is valid through February 7, 2028.
